HW2 – Due: Tuesday January 28th in the class Question 1:
DRV13x (DRV134 is same as DRV135 in a different package. DRV134 is in an 8-pin package and DRV135 is in a 16-pin package) is an Audio-Balanced Line Driver. The chip can be used as an amplifier to convert an input (single-ended) to two outputs (+Vo and –Vo). The outputs are related to the input as follow:
+Vo= Av. VIN /2
-Vo= -Av. VIN /2
?Vo= (+Vo) – (-Vo) = Av. VIN
The datasheet of the chip is available in HW2 folder. From the datasheet find:
1- Typical value of Av (in linear scale)
2- Typical input impedance (Zin or Rin)
3- Typical output impedance (Zout or Rout)
4- Maximum voltage for the power supplies (V+ and V-)
5- Typical bandwidth
6- If we use V+= 12 V and V-= -11 V for the power supplies, find the maximum voltage at the output.
Hint: use the information from typical output voltage swing. Max +Vo Min –Vo Max ?Vo
7- Two chips are connected together in a series combination. Using the diagram below find -Vo2 when Vs= 4.5 V. Sin(400 t)
