Question

What can you tell about the following resistors-

I already know how to calculate there resistance using the first three bands and that the fourth band is the tolerance band but in the situation with the following resistors the fourth band is black and I cant find anywhere which states what a black tolerance band means.. I know that it means zero or 1 if its one of the first three bands.

So if you could tell me what the tloerance and quality of the following 3 resistors and any other reasons that the resistor shown may cause errors when used in a circuit (inc maybe the way its been soldered) it would be great,

Explanation / Answer

According to EIA and IEC publication 60063 the color code is 1st band 1st digit 2nd band 2nd digit 3rd band 3rd digit 4th band multiplier 5th band tolerance I hope this helps
