let the height of the building be H, let max heigh from the roof is h h = v2 / 2g =(10m/s)2/2*9.8m/s2 = 5.10m the time to reach the max heigh is t1 = v/g = 10m/s /9.8m/s2 ˜ 1s the time to fall to the ground from max heigh is: t2 = 6s -1s= 5s since from max heigh, we have (H+h) = (1/2)g(t2)2 =0.5*9.8m/s2*(5s)2 = 122.5m H = 122.5m-5.10m = 117.4m the building heigh is 117.4m
