Question
A series RCL circuit has a resonant frequency of 2200 Hz. Whenoperating at a frequency other than 2200 Hz, the circuit has acapacitive reactance of 5.50 ohms and an inductive reactanceof 35.0 ohms. What are the values of (a)L and (b) C? Note: The accurrent and voltage are rms values and power is an average valueunless indicated otherwise. Can you please answer it for me? Ive tried multiple equations whichtells me how to do it, but my answer keeps coming up wrong. A series RCL circuit has a resonant frequency of 2200 Hz. Explanation / Answer
The RCL has the resonant frequency of 2200 Hz. so Zc=Zl when f=2200Hz. so 1/C=L so =1/sqrt(LC)=2f=4400. -------------------- with f other than 2200 we have. Zc=1/'C=5,5. Zl='L=35. know all you need to do is take Zl/Zc='^2*L*C=35/5,5 while we know L*C=1/(4400)^2. so '^2/(4400)^2=35/5,5. so f'/2200=sqrt(35/5,5) so f'=5550Hz
