Question
A stationary 1.67 kg object is struck by a stick. Theobject experiences a horizontal force given by F = at - bt^3, wheret is the time in milliseconds from the instant the stick firstcontacts the object. If a = 1500 N/millisecond and b = 20N/(millisecond)^3, what is the speed of the object just after itcomes away from the stick (at t = 2.74 milliseconds)? Need help please! I don't even know where to start :(...Ifrating is so important, will rate highest if answered, just needsome help on this one, thanks! A stationary 1.67 kg object is struck by a stick. Before the stick first contacts the object, the object is not moving, so let v0= 0 and let t0 = 0 milliseconds. Let t1 =2.74 ms. We're, therefore, looking for v1. According to the general definition of impulse, the integral (F dt) from t0 to t1 = p2-p1, where p is momentum. Therefore integrate from F(t) dt from t0 to t1 and put it equal to mv1 and solve for v1. integral (F(t) dt) from t0 to t1 = mv1
