A concave mirror has a focal length of 40.1 cm. The distance between an object and its image is 57.7 cm. Find (a) the object and (b) image distances, assuming that the object lies beyond the center of curvature and (c) the object and (d) image distances, assuming that the object les between the focal point and the mirror. d]
Solving only for this since others were correct.
u = 19.49 cm
but the distance between image and object is 57.7 cm
therefore, v - u = 57.7 cm
=> v = 57.7 + u = 57.7 + 19.49 = 77.19 cm.
this is the image distance from the mirror.
