When The hare stops to tease the tortoise, then from that point the time taken will be same as that of tortoise from some particular distance of interest to the finish line.

Distance remaining for hare = 1.85 - 1.480 = 0.37m

Time in which hare can reach remaining distance = 0.37 x 1000/7.65 = 48.366 s

The tortoise will take same time to reach finish line. So distance of tortoise from finish line is = 0.28 x 48.366 = 13.54 m

Hence the distance of tortoise from finish point = 13.54 m
