y -dir pi = 0 = pf So the momenta of the fruit in the y direction must be equal and opposite

So ma*vay = mo*voy (a - apple o orange)

vay = mo*moy/ma = 0.170*0.870/.115 = 1.286 m/s ( + y)

x - dir 0.115*1.05 - 0.170*1.25 = mo*0 + ma*vax

So vax = (0.115*1.05 - 0.170*1.25)/.115 = 0.7978 m/s

So va = sqrt(1.286^2 + 0.7978^2) = 1.51 m/s

theta = arctan(1.286/0.7978) = 58.2 degrees
