Question 10
Part A
Two objects with charges +q and 2q are separated by a distance r. You slowly move one of the objects closer to the other so that the distance between them decreases by half. Considering the two objects as the system, which statements are incorrect?
Check all that apply.

Why is the answer C and D, i.e. the EPE decreasing by half?
The equation I have for
Electrical Potential Energy_initial = k*q* (-2q)/(radius_initial).
EPE_final = (-2k*q^2)/(0.5*radius_initial) = 2*Electrical Potential Energy_Initial
So whats wrong with what I am doing here? Shouldn't it be 2 times, not decreased by half?
A. The magnitude of the electric potential energy doubles. B. The electric potential energy of the system doubles. C. The electric potential energy of the system decreases by half. D. The magnitude of the electric potential energy decreases by half.Explanation / Answer
EPE is negative here. Suppose -1 becomes -2 then
What do u say about that change.. Obviously it is decreased... The same thing will apply here
