wf = 17 rpm = 17 x 2pi rad / 60 sec = 1.78 rad/s

wf = wi + alpha t

1.78 = 0 + 11 alpha

alpha = 0.162 rad/s^2


I = ( M R^2 / 2) + (2 m R^2)

= (770 x 2.9^2 / 2) + (2 x 21 x 2.9^2)

= 3591.07 kg m^2

Net torque = I alpha = 3591.07 x 0.162 = 581.1 N m .........Ans
