Questions 1& 2 may blur together. Between the two they should answer both, but it is not critical under which question the answer is given. If someone is nearsighted, what can they see well, and what can they not? That is, which "point" is working well? Which "point" is working poorly -is a problem? (The near-point? The far-point?..) Which point works well? Which statement - "well" or "poorly" - is consistent with being "nearsighted?" How do we correct that point? Find a short description of how we do this. 1. you are nearsighted, you typically will have difficulty reading road signs and seeing distant objects clearly, but will be able to see well for close-up tasks such as reading books.

3.Nearsightedness can be corrected with glasses, contact lenses. In a myopia prescription, the first number will be preceded by a minus sign (–). The higher the number, the more severe the myopia. Contact lenses used to slow or stop myopia progression — typically overnight orthokeratology, and to a lesser extent, special-design soft lenses — can focus light on the back of the eye (the retina) in a way that signals the eye to slow or stop its lengthening process.

And that's why, people with short sight (myopia) are not able to see distant objects clearly.Now, since we know concave lenses are diverging lenses, it directs light away from the center of the lens and move the focal point of the light back so it reaches the retina. Thus, when the image is formed in the retina, we can see the distant objects clearly.
