If the resistance of the coil is 6.000. what is the magnitude of the induced current in the coil? What is the direction of the current if the axial component of the field points away from the viewer? O clockwise O counter-clockwise There is a hint available! divider bar again to hide the hint. e Previous 2 Check Answer Next ExtExplanation / Answer
The magnitude of induced voltage in the coil -
e = N*d phi/dt
= N* d(B*A)/dt
= N*A*dB/dt
=> e = (N*pi*r^2)*dB/dt
=> e = (78*3.141*0.41^2)(1.90 - 0.15) / 2.90 = 24.85 V
So, induced current, i = e / R = 24.85 / 6.0 = 4.14 A
The direction of current is in the clock-wise direction.
