(a) Determine the value of Fo. (b) If the worker now applies a force greater than Fo, describe the subsequent motion of the crate. This answer has not been graded yet. (c) Describe what would happen to the crate if the applied force is less than Fo. This answer has not been graded yet. Need Help? Read It a 01 PM 2/7/2017Explanation / Answer
Given
mass of crate m = 35.0 kg, force applied is F0 about a displacement s = 12.7m,
work done on the crate is W = 380 J
we know that the workdone W = F*s cos theta
==> F = W/s , here we can consider that the force and displacement are in the same direction so theta is zero cos zero =1
F_0 = 380/12.7 N
F_0 = 29.92 N
with this force applied on the crate of mass m = 35 kg , it will accelerates with acceleration is
from Newton's second law F = m*a ===> a = F/m = 29.92 /35 = 0.855 m/s2
b)
if the worker applies force greater than F0 tnen the crate will move more acceleration
c) if the worker applies force less than F0 tnen the crate will move with less acceleration .
