10.

The coils shown in Figure 10.43b have a value of k = 0. Calculate the total inductance in the circuit.

N= 120 N=80 0.2 cm 0.3 cm Ho=4 × 10-6 wb/A-m Ho = 4 × 10-6 Wb/A-m 1 = 2.5 cm =4.8 cm

Explanation / Answer

2) VL = -L * dI/Dt

=> VL = - 4.7 * 1.5 = - 7.05 V

4)    VL = - 470 * 10-6 * 2000 = - 0.94 V

6)    Here, L = 4 * 3.14 * 10-6 * 80 * 80 * 3.14 * 1.5 * 10-3 * 1.5 * 10-3/0.048

                      =   11.83 microH

8)   Here, L = 250 * 10-6 * 80 * 80 * 3.14 * 1.5 * 10-3 * 1.5 * 10-3/0.048

                      =   235.5 microH

10) total inductance = L1 + L2 + L3

                                = 470 + 220 + 3300

                                = 3990 mH

                                = 3.99 H
