B = magnetic field = 0.005 T
V = 0.055 x 3 x 108 m/s
magnitude of magnetic force is given as
F = qVB = (1.6 x 10-19) (0.055 x 3 x 108 ) (0.005)
F = 1.32 x 10-14 N = 13.2 fN
b)
a = acceleration = F/m = 1.32 x 10-14 /(9.1 x 10-31) = 1.45 x 1016 m/s2 = 14.5 Pm/s2
c)
c.) The direction of the moving electron will change but its speed will remain constant.
since magnetic force acts in perpendicular direction of the motion of electron , hence can not change the speed.
