Question
We did this problem in class and I did this wrong. I was wondering if anyone could help me out and show me how to actually do it.
Problem 1 (25 pts) A series RLC circuit contains the following components: R-100 C-1.10 F, and a source with AV max . 200 V operating at 30.0 Find the following associated with a phasor diagram: 0.300 H, a) The angle between the yoltage change through the resistor and the voltage change b) The angle between the vol c) The angle between the voltage through the resistor and the maximum voltage d) And the average power of the circuit. through the inductor through in the capacitor 1'mar ge through the resistor and the voltage change Example of RLC circuit et ,?Th..3 -505 200:1,100 112 Z-V.UW" Ping' (,100-1200 v lYExplanation / Answer
Part A & B are just Phasor angle between the Voltage change through resistor vs Voltage change through Inductor/Capacitor.
In a RLC Circut,
For Resistor the Voltage waveform is in phase with the current.
For Inductance the voltage waveform “leads” the current by 90o
For capacitance the voltage waveform “lags” the current by 90o
Therefore Angle Between them is 90 degrees.
In both the Cases , Answer = 90o
PART C & D are already done on your sheet and they look perfectly fine to me.
