Biomaterial is defined as any material that has been modified suitably to have an impact on biological system. For example, prosthetic dental implant, knee replacement prosthesis etc. The expectations from biomaterial class therefore is to learn the properties, biocompatibility characteristics and performance requirements of materials to be used in implants. I hope to gain knowledge about response of the body towards implants. My biggest question related to the field of biomaterials is that how far it can be used in regenerative and rehabilitative medical fields.
