a. the number of protons is always equal to the number of electrons present in an atom. When an atom loses an electron and becomes an ion, the number of electrons decreases by one whereas the number of protons remain the same.

Hence this ion will have 14 protons.

b. Atomic mass of an atom is equal to the sum of number of protons and number of neutrons.

Atomic mass of ion= Number of protons+ number of neutrons

= 14+15 = 29

c. This is an ion of silicon, whose atomic number is 14.
