U = Q- W

-5000 = Q - 4000

Q = -1000 J

a) So, the gas absorbs 1000 J of energy

b)Since the +ve work has been done the volume of the gas increases, if it remains same work done has to be 0 and if it decrease work done will be -ve so, volume increase

c)Since, energy is absorbed the temperature increases

d)Nothing can be concluded about pressure as it may increase or decrease or reamain the same
