Density A. Place yourself in the role of a parent teaching your young children about the concept of density. As an example you use a uniform block of cheese cut into two unequal pieces, labeled A and B, as shown at right. 1. Give a reasonable argument for each of your children's following assertions (even if you disagree with one or more of them). That is, find some piece of right thinking that you think could lie behind each one of them, and show how that right thinking is related to a complete, logical answer consistent with the physics you know. Write down this piece of right thinking and explain how it is, at least partially, consistent with physics.

Density = Mass/Volume

I.In this case, Mass of the original block is higher, so density of original block is higher. Similarly mass of the block lower so the density will be least.

II.As the volume of the original block is higher of the three , the density of the block will be least of the three. Similarly volume of block 'B' is lowest, so its density is greatest.

III.Density is intrinsic property of material. no matter what shape size a material is given, its density remains the same.
