Req = 1.5 R

let the current across A be Ia

the voltage drop across the battery is 1.5 R * Ia

voltage drop accros C is , Vc = 1.5 R * Ia - R * Ia

Vc = 0.5 R * Ia

current across C = 0.5 R * Ia / R

Ia = 2 I

therefore,

the voltage drop across the battery is 1.5 R * 2 * I
