Question
A coil has 150 turns enclosing an area of 10.3 cm2. In a physics laboratory experiment, the coil is rotated during the time interval 3.00×102 s from a position in which the plane of each turn is perpendicular to Earth's magnetic field to one in which the plane of each turn is parallel to the field. The magnitude of Earth's magnetic field at the lab location is 6.40×105 T .
Part B
What is the magnitude final of the magnetic flux through the coil after it is rotated?
Answer in Txm2
Part C
*will be posted in comments after answers to A and B, it cannot be shown until the correct answer is given for B!!!*
PLEASE check the comments and help me, I've already lost half of the points on this question trying different methods.
Explanation / Answer
after rotating,
magnetic flux through the loop = N*A*B*cos(theta) ( here N is no of loops, A is are of the loop, B is magnetic filed and theta is the angle between normal to the surface and B)
= N*A*B*cos(90)
= 0
