Explanation / Answer

1. Graphesthesia - ability to recognise writing on the skin purely by the sensation of touch.

2. Glascow coma scale - is the scale which provides a standardized objective assessment of level of consciousness.

3. Hypotonia - decreased muscle tone / decreased muscle strength

4. Ataxia - are unsteady and uncoordinated gait

5. Cranial nerve VIII- Acoustic nerve / vestibulocochlear nerve ,it carries impulse from inner ear to brain .

6. Moro's reflex - also known as startle , stretching out of hands as a response to sudden loss of support.

7. Fasciculation - repeated involuntary twitching of muscles

8. Aura - subjective sensation that precedes a seizure ,it can be auditory, visual etc.

9. Corneal reflex - a reflex which is absent when there is lesion in cranial nerve 5 and 7 because the afferent arm (sensory component is served by the cranial nerve 5 ) and cranial nerve 7 acts as the efferent arm for corneal reflex.

10. Romberg's test - the test in which patient is asked to stand erect with the feet close to each other and eyes closed, if patient is unable to to balance then it's called positive .

11. Gnosia - the ability to recognise object by feeling their form ,size and weight

12. Cranial nerve 2- optic nerve , nerve that connects eye to brain. It carries impulse from retina( nerve layer) to brain .

13. Paraesthesia is the abnormal sensation like tingling ,burning ,numbness, prickling, etc

14. Babinski reflex is present in infants but not in adults . When the sole of foot is stimulated by a blunt instrument it leads to dorsiflexion of big toe and fanning out of other fingers.

15. Hyertonia - increased muscle tone or spasticity due to increased contraction of muscles.
