Question

I am not understanding why .003v coming OUt of the super node is positive.. And 200 coming into the node is negative since it was carried to the other side of =..... I thought the rule was the opposite... When I changed the signs the answer comes out wrong so I guess it HAS to follow what is shown in the picture. Please EXPLAIN why these are given the signs + and - v, (-10)4%(-4)-x(-2)4%(-5) =0 0.003vs KCL super node (ab) 20V 200mA 0.4v 250 Vs 500 200 100 0.003v200m w )4200m 100 V,-0 100 y-0)+0003(.-0)-(y ))= 200m 250 k(10)+k(4)+V, (3)=200

Explanation / Answer

0.003 and 200 are in opposite direction. So if one is positive the other one will be negative. 0.003 has direction from negative to positive so it has a positive sign and the other one is opposite. Or 200 is going from the positive point of the voltage to the negative. So it is considered as negative.
