56 - 5*9.81 = 5*a

a=1.39 m/s^2

x = 1/2 a t^2

2 = 0.5*1.39*t^2

2) first find speed after free fall

v = v0 + a t = 9.81*2

then find a when coming to a stop

0 = 9.81*2 -a*0.5

a=39.24 m/s^2

N - mg = ma

N = ma + mg = 65*(39.24+9.81)=3188 N

b) N/mg = 3188/(65*9.81)= 5.0
