The health care industry must define quality as acheiving desired health outcomes that are consistent with currect professional knowledge.Many healthcare organisation value quality a lot and giev their best in improvent of quality,while some organisation are only interested in getting the tag of accreditation by just maintaining the documentation of it rather than implementing it.
Once the industry establishes what is wrong,it can begin to devise some solutions to improve the quality of helathcare.Some strategies to improve quality will be like increasing accountability at all levels of the industry,continous quality improvement,standardization of medicine using guidelines,patient empowerment,improved access to helath information through a centralized database and the need for incentives for patients and medical professionals.Although many physicians are skeptical of such changes ,the health care industry clearly must work together to address the issue of quality appropriately.
