Question

Using Kirchhoff's rules, find the following. (e m f1 = 71.0 V, e m f2 = 60.2 V, and e m f3 = 79.2 V.)

(a) the current in each resistor shown in the figure above

(b) the potential difference between points c and f

IR1 = mA IR2 = mA IR3 = mA Using Kirchhoff's rules, find the following. (e m f1 = 71.0 V, e m f2 = 60.2 V, and e m f3 = 79.2 V.) (a) the current in each resistor shown in the figure above IR1 = mA IR2 = mA IR3 = mA (b) the potential difference between points c and f magnitude of potential difference V

Explanation / Answer

in left loop current be i1 and righ t loop i2

we get equations as follows

71 -60.2 - 3000*(i1+i2) - 2000*i1 =0

79.2 - 60.2 - 3000*(i1+i2) - 1000*i2 =0

solving we get

i1 = 0.00125
i2 = 0.00568

i through r1 = 0.00125 from a to f = 1.25 mA

through r3 = 0.00568 from d to c =5.68 mA

through r2 = 0.00443 from c to f = 4.43 mA

Vc - 60.2 -3000*(0.00443) = Vf

Vc - Vf = 73.49 V
