Botox injections are relatively safe when performed by an experienced doctor. The possible risks includes:
- Pain, swelling and bursting at the injection site is the main side effects of this injection.
- Headcahe or flue like symptoms may associate with this
- Also problems like drooping of eyelid oe cockeyed eyebrows might occur
- Another proble with botox injections are eye dryness or excessive tearing
Although very unlikely, it is possible for the effect of botulinum toxin to spread to other parts of the body and cause botulism-like signs and symptoms. Require emergency medical attention if a patient noted the following effects after recieving botox , such as - muscle weakness all over the body , vision problems, trouble speaking or swallowing, trouble in breathing, and loss of bladder control.
