The role of physical environment plays an important part in the health of patients and their families as well as the staff. The structure and the design of the healthcare organization related to the well-being and recovery of patients. The physical environment is more important in healthcare settings as patient often feeling of stress. The physical environment reflects the patient's responses to the treatment and the patient-staff communication.
The manager helps in the design of the building in a way that helps in the promotion of health and well-being of the patient and to the patient choices. The Manager makes the work environment of the staff in order to reduce their workload and to be stress-free, so the optimum care can be provided to the patient.
The design of the building such as the distance need to travel to reach the patient, store room, easy to access the equipment, are all support the clinical care and outcome.
