The name of the company will be "Maryland Crab House". It will be in San Diego, CA. The business will be built for people who like quality,  good tasting seafood. Maryland has some of the best tasting crabs around. We will have to rely on overnight transportation like Fedex/UPS.

Executive Summary

            In an effort to serve everyone in the community with affordable and exquisite dining, “Maryland’s Crab House” is excited to announce that the establishment is open to everyone in the public. The first year will be focusing exclusively on the needs of the customers and adjust the menu accordingly. The business will be owned by John Smith and managed by Larry Thomas as sole proprietorship. Numerous wait staff and kitchen personnel will be available to serve according to the volume of business. The cashier will be Margaret Ann Sudan, and Managers, Alfred Smith and Jane Doe will continuously be attentive to every detail. Throughout the first year, John Smith will work closely with the Small Business Administration advisors in order to give the restaurant a structured base, financially and operationally, using this business plan as a guide to manage.

            The focus of the restaurant will be to provide fast and friendly service, and serve the most exquisite dishes possible so as not to leave any customer behind. This restaurant will provide menu options available for those of all ages without discrimination to taste, and will not charge up for change in sides disht. There will be enough staff trained and ready to handle any situation that may arise. This establishment will provide the necessary provisions for handicapped customers.

            The marketing strategy involves networking, promotional events, TV media, and any other necessary methods in order to promote the restaurant and its concern for residents of the community. It is projected that over about the next 2 years, the restaurant will successfully attend to the needs and wants of the customers to the point that there will be no more need for them to go to the competition, where extensive periods of waiting time have been experienced.. As there is no other restaurant such as this one in the community, the volume of customers is expected to increase rapidly.

            In the beginning, the restaurant will be dependent upon the support of small business loans in order to cover salaries and payroll taxes at least for the operations of the first year. As the volume of customers increases, the restaurant’s revenues will cover expenses and at the end of the first year, no more outside support will be needed. It is projected that with the loyalty of each customer, the restaurant will be able to build a strong foundation.

OBJECTIVES:

      Create a non-hostile environment for both customers and employees

      Exceed the expectations of both customers and employees

      Deliver hot fresh seafood dishes with speed and accuracy, exceeding expectations of the customers.

      Be able to serve the needs of the community.

      Average volume of customers per month of 1000-2000 within the first year and 3000+ by the end of the second year.

MISSION:

The mission of Maryland’s Crab House is to provide exquisite, unique seafood dishes that compare to none other in the community. The restaurant will be diverse in its practice and decision making procedures, and will not be discriminative because of age, race, ethnic, or religious beliefs. Individuals of all ages will be accepted and menu options will reflect the decision making of the community, not necessarily just that of the establishment. The restaurant will be open 7 days a week. Medellin’s restaurant will attempt to exceed the expectations of the customers.
