Behaviour change is an effective strategy in cubing the spread of sexually transmitted infections. As a first step, we must communicate healthful behaviour to the public. Unfortunately research has repeatedly shown that knowledge alone is not always enough.

Theory of reasoned action:
Subjective norms dictate whether a person will engage in a new behaviour.
Social cognitive theory:
People acquire new patterns of behaviour by observing or learning from others and building a sense.
Stages of change:
People donot change their behaviour overnight. Instead they go through a series of stages.

It is the process of dividing a broad consumer or business market, normally consisting of existing and potential customers, in to subgroups of consumer.
