A literature review is an evaluative report of information found related to particular area of study. Review described, summarizes, evaluates and clsrifies the literature. It should be a theoretical base for the research .

Primary prevention is defined as disease prevention in healthy people .
Secondary prevention is defined as treatment used to cure the condition
Monitoring includes tracking the progression of disease
Although cancer screening is preventive in some ways but in actual it does not prevent the condition

Types of overuse
Use of non recommended testing in individuals for whom the tests are not indicated for example elderly which has more harms and more costs.
Overtreatment is defined as conditions that are futile with minimum evidence of benefit relative to the standards

State of research
Barriers to reducing oversuse are factors that stop doctors, patients and healthcare professionals from reducing oversuse .Abstracts that did not contain any of these topics were classified as only concerning prevalence of overuse
