Question
I need a feedback for this comment:
(1. I feel that media and corporations definitely try to influence the way we think about food. I would say for the most part advertisements for food use people who are in good shape and groups of friends having a good time together while eating their product. You never see an overweight person eating McDonald's on a commercial. 2. Media and corporations are the biggest influence on food and body image for sure (at least in my family). Very fit individuals are constantly all over the Internet and magazines. These images are usually edited to make them look even better. For example, today I was walking in the grocery store and went by a pistachios ad that had a shirtless guy on it and a girl with a sports bra on. They were both shredded. The guy probably had 4% body fat and the girl about 8%. This just sets up unrealistic body expectations. )

Macdonald's is the biggest fast food chain the world that serves the food that is not at all healthy for our body but the way media present the food and corporates market the food have the big impact in people's mind and lives. As the option is convenient, the people tend to choose Macdonald's over the healthy food and media doesn't understand the consequences of this. Food of Macdonald's make people fat and they endorse the food with healthy people and people don't understand the side effects of this events.

Eating pistachios are always a good habit as it has healthy unsaturated fat source. I agree that companies use models that have insane bodies to endorse their products but I think this is in a way is a good thing because their insane bodies set up unrealistic body expectations then you would exercise more to get those type of physique. Even if you can't achieve the same body but you can get to the nearby body. So, setting up higher goals are always a good choice and there is no negative sides of those models endorsing the pistachios.
