People love to complain. It is what we do best. It could be the constant snow in the winter, the internet speed at the library the cost of a cup of coffee at Starbucks, or how there seems to be traffic on your way home every day of the week. Today is your chance to get these issues down on paper Make a list of as many problems that appear in your daily life that you can think of with at least one potential solution for each problem. (Example: Not enough parking close to campus, Solution: Don't allow students who live within a mile of campus to drive to class.) Choose one of the problems and write an argument about the issue, why it matters, and how you would propose changing the situation. Develop a comprehensive argument (in free write form) to practice the power of persuasion.

Explanation / Answer

The lists of problems that may appear in daily life are :

a. Being a girl, discrimination may be faced everywhere around. For instance, a particular job is not for girls.

Solution : Girls should be tougher and should not get discouraged.

b. Adapting a western culture for someone staying far away from homeland is also sometimes difficult.

Solution : Should possess self-confidence in whatever they do.

c. Being a girl, sometimes it becomes unsafe to drive or walk in the midnight hours, or places which are lonely.

Solution : Girls should carry or know measures for self-defence.

d. Dealing with the heavy traffic everyday is a headache for the ones who has to visit labs for research purpose.

Solution : researcher should choose to stay in the campus.

One of the major problems in life is setbacks and defeat. It leads to anxiety, frustration and a major form of depression. There comes a time in life when one has to build his or her career. But then comes the obstacles, the failure of getting through competitive examinations. One may see her classmates/friends doing great jobs, flaunting their success, or even she may see her desires being fulfilled by someone very close to her. This leads to great depression, unsocialism, discouragement and people may also underestimate her due to her failure and setbacks at that particular age.

But leaving all these behind, I feel, where there is a will there is a way. One has to have self-confidence,no matter what others say. There are such great successful people in this world who had major setbacks in life. One should never give up, no matter how tough the journey is. The roads may not seem so smooth for few people, but if she has the patience, will and works really hard to compete, there is no power which can hold her back, no matter how long it takes.
