People are increasingly making major purchases online. Computers are no exception and a number of computer brands are selling online. Each one is competing, not only with other online computer sellers, but also with traditional (or “brick and mortar”) retailers who offer computers for sale. In this Discussion, you will look at three online computer vendors that include 1) Hewlett Packard®, 2) Acer®, and 3) Apple® and compare them in relation to the 4p's of marketing that we look at this week. After you have looked over the available computers and products on the three websites, and compared them, you will want address the following: Evaluate each for how well they promote and address the 4p's (price, promotion, product and distribution/place) online only and not based on any other experience or exposure you might have with each company. Compare the competitors' product offerings, prices, website ease of navigation, appeal, and use. In your opinion, which website does the best job of promoting their products to the online purchaser? Why? Is the computer manufacturer that you selected, as being best at promoting their products, the same company you would buy from if you had to buy a computer? Why or why not?

Promotion has its own influence on buying behavior.Going online is the current market trend especially for electronics and apparels products.

A.HP: The brand has huge presence over global and active both in brick and mortor model and e-model business. HP offers direct online purchase from theier websites and they also sell theiri products through leading e-commerce sites like amazon, e-bay, alibaba etc. Thye also have prioritsed show rooms and retail chain sales to push their product into markets. Thus major 4 Ps drives are consciously driven through better product differentiation. Price is in par with the competitors as well and promotion is good in terms of standardized advertisement and online promotion

A. Acer: it is well known for compact model laptops and PC’s with lower cost. Thus their major strategy is price differentiation from the their competitors and operate through low price. Promotion is locally good in certain countries but they don’t have international presence like other competitors. Thus their major ara of focus would be on promotion. Online shopping is available in major e-commerce sites and their own sites ( with limited distributional area).

Apple: They have direct selling channels and premium reselling stores only for the purchase of their products. Due to premium pricing they are focusing only on elite customers who are very much brand reliable and conscious. They dont promote via online shopping , that may decrease or hit their market ratio after a certain point of time. The company is will known for quality and innovation, thus customers attracted because of supreme standard.. They have presence only in major cities across global.

Promotion has many influential areas to decide the buying behavior of a customer. Their need can be converted to shopping through god promotion that show case their product uniqueness and quality. Word of mouth is also necessary to drive the product reach across various potential customers.
