According to scientists oceans are warming much faster than previously calculated values due to technologies available today such as wireless temperature sensors that can measure ocean temperatures in very deep waters and send the data to computer systems precisely. This may cause frequent hurricanes and storms that may devastate costal areas. Similarly harsh temperature changes in Midwestern states may induce more frequent draught and flood cases as well as tornados and storms than ever before. If global warming and climate change become serious public concerns in your hometown or in general in Iowa, what might be your response to resolve and help reduce the environmental impacts of it?

What are the challenges? Provide examples and offer methods to resolve the issue(s).

Explanation / Answer

with reference to the above question I would like to say that almost every place on the earth and almost every individual is affected from the changing climatic conditions of our environment.

with technical advancements , comes worsening of the climatic conditions.

one important thing is that global climtatic change occur in a long period of time, upto centuries to realise what the global environment impact ,which actually began long back. example of this could be ozone layer depletion( by the use of CFC's as referigerant) which was known to us more than after a decade before the actual depletion started.

If global warming and climate change become serious public concern i would follow some imporant steps:

1) when it comes to pollution our mind deviates to industry ,automobiles,power palnts etc. so i would control smokes and harmful exhaust drom these by pollution control methods, such as incinerator, chimney filters which would certainly reduce to some effective level. use of solar energy electricity(instead of powerplants) and use battery cars more than diesel cars and walking and cycling short distances in place of fuels could be handy as well.

2) educating people which i feel is the best method to control global warming and climate change,many people are still unaware of global climatic conditions via media, newspaper and roadshows bannering public issues related to pollution etc. and what impact it could have on the future generations to come would help people understand the real threat to mankind.

there could be challenges such as motivating people .means every individual is a difficult task cent percent of everything is unachievable. some group of people often argue that they have nothing to do with global warming and other thing , but ultimately inspiring handful of people is also a successful leap to a better place to live in for us and for our future generations.
