Explanation / Answer
United States is a super power, Make no mistake it still has the technological, logistical advantage over any country or group in the world.
US solely is responsible for world peace from world war II to now, It had won wars in almost every theater, The Eastern theater of korean war ( South korea creation ) to middle east to Europe.
From 2008 after the financial crisis was officially annouced things have changed for worse, China has emerged as a major Economic and military power in Asian theater, It has formed SCO ( Shanghai Co-opeation Organization) With many member states.
US right now in the current situation cannot take all the burden and encouraging countries like Japan to prepare itself for possible war, The South China sea and East China sea issues together became the no.1 issues that US faces globally.
If US is unable to defend its access to seas it would loose trust of Asian allies almost overnite and the craziness and anarchy will become life in Asia.
Social and medicare still are the weakest in US, US does not have universal health schemes, So it cannot say it is taking care of welfare of its people which was fudamental duty of government. US certainly have failed miserably in providing welfare to its own people.
