Explanation / Answer

A. Cyclones get more intense with haltitude because they are converging columns of air that rise upward whereas in anticyclone air diverge and they sink instead of rising due to their high pressuure center.

B.The term referred to here is Baroclinity which corrospond to region of distict air masses.
