The first Walmart store was opened in 1962 in Rogers, Arkansas by Mr. Sam Walton’s whose strategy is built on unshakable foundation – the lowest prices anytime, anywhere. The Walmart stores expanded with company officially incorporated as Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. as a public traded company in 1970. Walmart showed tremendous growth with its business operating world-wide having stores in UK, China, Canada, etc. In 2000s, Walmart started its operation online and on mobile phone. In 2002, Walmart tops the Fortune 500 list as America’s largest company. Walmart focuses on transforming the business to serves customers effectively. Customers are busier than ever, so Walmart focuses on innovating and leveraging technology to save them time as well as money.
