LIFE OF PI is a fantasy adventure novel by YANN MARTEL originally published in the year 2001. This is a thrilling adventure story and has a sense of surprise that keeps us reading. A BOY AND A TIGER ON A BOAT itself is a different concept which escalates a sixteen year old boy who survives at sea. "YOU MUST TAKE LIFE THE WAY IT COMES AT YOU AND MAKE THE BEST OF IT". This particular quotation demonstrates the clear ideology of yann Martel.
Basically I love stories about animals. Although Ang Lee's movie has breath-taking visuals, in my opinion the book has the better story as Life of pie book explores the themes of faith and belief. And I personally think director succeeded in displaying the young boy struggle between himself and his beliefs. As his journey is not just only a journey of survival, but a journey of faith. The ultimate answer for pi is love and hope.
