Explanation / Answer

1) There are two type of monsoon in south Asia that are summer and winter monsoon.

Summer monsoons associated with heavy rain comes in April and September. As winter ends warm moist air from Indian ocean blows towards south Asia and brings hummid climate and torrential rainfall.

Winter monsoonal wind blows from northeast part of Asia and have less rainfall comparing to the summer monsoon. The reason behind this is there are less source of evaporation and also Himalayan ranges prevents the wind from northeast to reach the coastal areas of South Asia.

These monsoon winds affect south asia in terms of agriculture ; which is the source of livelihood of most of the people.
