metamorphic rocks are formed by changing in the physical envrionemnt like high pressure temperature condition or by chemical process from pre existing rocks which can be igneous,metamorphic or sedimentary. foliated and non foliated metamorphic rocks are two basic classification of the metamorphic rocks.
