A. If one goes back to the Precambrian and prevent photosynthesis, we would not get life on Earth as it is abundant right now. Photosynthesis was the driving phenomenon to enrich the atmosphere with oxygen and thus, created an environment for the sustainence of life on Earth as living beings thrive on oxygen. Blue green algae and cyanobacteria were the most primitive organisms that participated in the phenomenon of photosynthesis.
B. The empty spaces in the geological timeline of the Earth signify the Ice-Ages. During these times, glaciation was predominant and caused the freezing of records and imprints on the Earth as everything was covered with snow.
C. Marauding dinosaurs reigned the Earth during the Jurassic Period of the Mesozoic Era. If human life existed back then, they would have been destroyed easily by the gigantic dinosaurs.
D. The Earth's age is 4600 Million Years. Life evolved through a complex chain of reaction, from cells to single celled organisms to multiple celled organisms. This is a precusrsor to intelligent life as it involved DNA making. The age of the Earth-like planet is 1000 Million Years and so, it may not host intelligent life as its age is much shorter than that of Earth and complex evolution has still not acieved its climax.
