Explanation / Answer

I would chose the option (D) i.e. With respect to the Middle East, America should clearly focus on the business and nothing else. If we consider the negatibe side of the US foreign policy with respect to Middle East, we will find that historically US has always tried to interfere in the matters of Middle East. From the world war days, it has constantly supported the Israel and thus, tried to mess with the muslim-dominated Palestinian region. The Iraq invasion started with the moto of establishing democracy, but it's evident that the real motive was to appropriate the oil reserves. The current scenario with Iran is also related to the oil and gas resources in the name of nuclear crisis and all.

Now, being the only economic superpower, it should definitely do the smart business in the energy sector of Middle East and should not create the groups of allies and foes at the same time in the region to tear this apart. Also, the Middle East is a very complexed society and a very resource-rich economy as a whole. The segregation on the basis of religion or in the name of democracy has not worked there historically. The imperialistic traits and the hypocrisy and unnecessary militarism in the region is deteriorating the U.S. interests. The blatant abuse of military power to curb the terrorism has led to severe violations of the human rights and the international laws.

Hence, It's time U.S should consider the region as a whole and should focus on obtaining the rich oil and gas reserves without interfering in the internal matters of the diversified Middle East region.

Thank you.
