Question

Read following link article and answer the question
1. What was (were) the hypothesis of the experiment? Make sure what you write is in your own words!! Do not use the words of the authors from the abstract or any other part of the paper!! 2. Did the data support the hypothesis(-es)? 3. In one or two sentences, what were the most important findings in the paper? 4. What question(s) did you have about the paper? Was anything unclear? Did the paper make you think about another question? 5. What experiment(s) should the authors do next? (Note: Answers such as repeat the experiment with another species" or "repeat the experiment in another ecosystem" are NOT acceptable here.)

Explanation / Answer

1. The hypothesis of this expriment was sustainibility of global fisheries. For this we reqires primary productive computer based data of speices.

2. Yes. This PPR data is very necessary for this experiment. According to this we clearly estimates the global aquatic primary production. Ecosystem type changes the estimation value. For exmple 2% per open ocean systems, 24 to 35% for fresh waters.

3. The most important findings in the paper were reporting of world fisheries catches, stastics and primary productive data. These details are important to sustain the catches of species. Tble illustrates ecosystems, containing species, catches and PPR value. Table 2 illustrates the estimation of PPR for the coastal and coral reef systems is 8.3%. The value is very less due to high level of productivity, large catches at low tropic levels and over fishing.
