Resource pesimists are persons who think or blive that soon thir will be shortage of natural resources and environmental degradtion due to rise in the level of population and ncrease in the level of economic activity. But their views and concerns are overlooked or are oftern misplaced because people believe that new resources will be discovered and even if non renewable resources got finished then we can use renewable resources.But there are 2 facctors that the resource pessimists miss which are as follows:-
1) The are predicting the situation with the current and past consumption analysis and ignoring if any technological change will be discovered to replenish the lost resources.
2) Also they are ignoring the fact that due do increase in technology less resources might be used and population control techniques will be there or new resources might get discovered.
Answer 15. A country like Norway has not been affected by the resource curse as the norway people believe in their government and trust that their tax money will be spent judiciously. Also they believe in saving more than they believe in spending, that is why they have already set up a wealth fund with about $800 bn.
