Explanation / Answer

1.Ans:- A manager has vast responsibilities on his shoulder for his organisation. But mere a manager does not help an organisation to get the fruit of success. So it is always rightly said that good leaders always can be managers but good managers may not be good leaders. Good leaders always work in the long term for the success of his company and profit maximisation by building trust and rapport among his team members which help in work everyone in collaboration and aim for the common goal. Besides failure of the team indicates the failure of his strategies which urge great leaders for the improvement in their techniques while a manager blames his team for all the failures. A great leader empower his team to work liberally while a mere manager stresses on following the process. So for the success of an organisation, a manager must be a great leader.

2.Ans:- Directing is considered as the most important function of management tools as it is the communication medium for the management through which they instruct, guide and lead their employees to achieve their targeted goal. Directing function in management is considered as the heart of management process as it helps the management of an organisation to instruct and supervise their employees in order to accomplish their goals.

3.ans:- There are various motivating fators which influence employees to achieve their goals in their work place. Factors like employee achievement, job satisfaction, reward system, career advancement, rapport among co-workers, great leaders as higher authorities, challanging work inspire employees to work for their organisation. When employees get a salary based on their skills and needs, they get motivated to work for their organisations success. Besides when management autorities give their employees the liberty to work without imposing any work guidelines, those employees are the most satisfied people who work in dedication to achieve thier accomplished goal. Besides when there is reward system for the best performers, employees get motivated to work hard and give their best. Working enviornment also matters a lot while motivating its employees.

Ans:- When the management of an organisation or a team leader imposes decisions on their employess or subordinates blocking the road for inputs from others, it is called autocratic leadership style. it is atype of dictatorship in the working enviornment where there is no room for others' ideas and advices except the management committe or leaders. This leadership results adverse effect on organisations except in situations when quick ideas and decisions need to be processed.

Autocratic leadership would be suitable in situations where quick decisions needs to be made in order to overcome a crisis for eg. when a business faces heavy losses and it needs to reduce its expenditure by curtailing the numbers of employees.

5.Ans:- The concept of participatory leadership is completely opposite to the concept of autocratic leadership style. In this managerial style, ideas and advices are highly appreciated from its employees. Besides the majority votes are given preferrences in decision making process in organisation.

An example of participatory leadership is selecting the leader of labour union where each and every members decision are given preferrences.

6. Ans:- Communication is a two way i formation sharing process where one player acts as the speaker and the other as a listener. Elements like clearity, correct points, approaches, style etc play crucial role in the success of communications. While communicating, the speaker must communicate in a language which is understandable to everyone with a clear tone. Sticking to the point while delivering the correct message also matter a lot while communicating. If the speaker lossess his ground while communicating, listeners fail to understand and it results in a failure in communication.

7.Ans:- Employees desire to work for an organisation for their whole life when they get a challanging working enviornment where their ideas are alsovalued. So to recruit and retain the employees for an organisation, they should be paid according to their eligibility. Working envionment where employees are rewarded for their hard works and get the opportunity for their advancement of career easily have the lower chances of job changes for employees. Fun filled enviornment to manage stress and where management and employees work in harmony also provide employees impetus to retain their jobs. These are the best ways to recruit and retain new people.

8. Ans:- An effective performance review occurs when a joint agenda for the meeting is set in order to make its purposes more useful. Everyone should be open enough to accept their faults along with appraisal and try to improve them. There should be agreement among all members for the development actions to be taken for the success of their organisation and their career graph. Besides feedbacks from both the leader's side and employers side makes a review meeting successfull.

9.Ans:- Constant employees training and education is neccessary for the profit maximisation of an organisation with the change in technologies and stiff competition in the market. In the age of globalisation, when there is constant policy changes and marketing strategies, it is neccessary for the emploees of a firm to be versatile to equally face the work stress and challanges and work for the success of their work place in the long run at the same time. It is important for employees to be in touch with all the latest technologies for the firm's advancement. Constant training and education improve employees' skills which in turn help firms to take effective decision in emergency.
