Answer: Yes, the car gas mileage is affected by the type of gasoline we use. The mileage decreases with the use of Ethanol blended gasoline. This happens because of the low energy content of Ethanol than the gasoline. A gallon of gasoline provides one-third more energy than a gallon of ethanol. As ethanol is a alcohol so it also causes damages to the fuel syste.
