1. Explain which group should have the BEST OPTIMAL BUFFER (see choices above).

I think that it would be group 2 because the pH of the buffer is the same as the pH of the acetic acid

2. Explain which group has a buffer that has the HIGHEST BUFFERING CAPACITY AGAINST NaOH.

I think that it is group 1 because it has the lowest pH, meaning that it's going to take a lot more NaOH to neutralize it, but I'm not 100% sure.

3. Explain which group has a buffer that has the HIGHEST BUFFERING CAPACITY AGAINST HCl.

I'm not sure if it is group 6 or not.

4. Is the best optimal buffer the same as the buffer that has the HIGHEST buffer capacity against NaOH? Explain your reasoning.

1) the best optimal buffer is Group 2 at pH = 4.35 because this pH has same value as that of our acetic acid and is optimal buffer .

2) Group 1  has has the HIGHEST BUFFERING CAPACITY AGAINST NaOH because NaOH is a strong base we need to nulify the addition of base added and the only those ph buffer will help whose pH is very small and that is Group 1 .

3)  Group 6 has has the HIGHEST BUFFERING CAPACITY AGAINST HCL because HCL is a strong acid we need to nulify the addition of acid added and the only those ph buffer will help whose pH is very large and that is Group 6 .

4) the best optimal buffer GROUP 2 is not the same as the buffer that has the HIGHEST buffer capacity against NaOH group 1 because pH 0f acetic acid is = 4.35 which is provided only by group 2 but not by group 1 .

5) the best optimal buffer GROUP 2 is not the same as the buffer that has the HIGHEST buffer capacity against HCL group 1 because pH 0f acetic acid is = 4.35 which is provided only by group 2 but not by group 6 .
