Ron recently visited a Christian monk in the mountains of Spain. The monk had an interesting argument about how every part of the body is devoted to God. The monk’s argument is that since the body, as a whole, of a Christian is rightfully devoted to God in all its actions, it follows that every part of the body, including the heart, the hand, the eye, and so on, is rightfully devoted to God.

It is clear that the duty of the press is that it shall publish such news as shall be in the public interest to have published. There can be no doubt about the public interest taken in the brutal murder of Count Cardavo and concerning the details of his private life that led up to the murder. The press would have failed in its duty if it had refrained from publishing these matters even though the results have been disastrous for the extended families of the Count and the Countess.
Capital punishment is morally wrong and we shouldn’t allow it to be legal in California. Why? Because first, capital offenders might still, possibly, contribute to society. Second, capital punishment is just a tool for revenge seekers. Three, capital punishment costs a lot of money. Four, capital punishment is not a deterrent to other people not to commit capital offenses. And last, it is hypocritical to kill someone for killing someone.
